The inspiration behind our scholarship
The Brandon Morrison - Luckey Scholarship Fund was created to honor the remarkable life of Brandon Morrison. Brandon inspired everyone who knew him to be a better person. He deeply loved his family, hunting, and fishing, and cherished watching his children play sports. In 2025, he left his family after a courageous fight with lung cancer. Brandon also enjoyed serving his community; his dream was to become a firefighter. He joined Comstock in Fire and Rescue in 2009 and later Kalamazoo Township Fire as a paid on-call firefighter, earning two life-saving awards during his service. His passion for community and dedication to service are the driving forces behind this fund.

Furthermore, acknowledging his talent and natural mechanical skills, we also aim to support those who choose a skilled trades career. Our goal is to empower the next generation of dedicated professionals who will contribute meaningfully to society.

Public service scholarships
Criminal justice program
Supports students pursuing degrees or certifications in law enforcement, corrections, forensic science, and other criminal justice-related fields, preparing them for roles that uphold public safety and justice.
Emergency services program
Assists aspiring firefighters, paramedics, EMTs, and other emergency response personnel, providing financial aid for training and education essential for saving lives and serving communities.
Skilled trades scholarships
Mechanical trades program
For students entering fields such as automotive technology, HVAC, industrial mechanics, and advanced manufacturing, supporting hands-on training and certification crucial for essential industries.
Construction trades program
